Welcome to MAY!!!! I gotta admit the shows over the past few weeks have been hectic with guests and music it even hard for me to keep track. Let me give you a quick re-cap. Kenny Segal dropped by 2 weeks ago to talk about his debut LP Ken Can Cook. The album is pure fire and features some of the best MC's in LA. Kenny really delivers on the production side, this LP is a treat. To kick off May LD & Ariano rolled thru and played a ton of stuff some they are featured on: Medusa and Lost Of Art, or from their forthcoming releases. Lots of stuff that's never been played on the radio. Hopefully with a little help from my listeners this show will be posted soon. I also had Big Quarters up 3 weeks ago. Music wise where do I start, let's just say it's gonna be a busy summer for all you hip-hop fans. Look for new music from THE ROOTS, RZA, BLUE SCHOLARS, COMMON MARKET, THE GROUCH, just to name a few. I should also mention KXLU has updated their website, giving us (The DJ's) blogs. So although I cannot swear on that site I will be posting info and playlists. Happy April everyone. Last night I was lucky enough to have Trek Life & Oddisee come thru and talk about Oddisee's remix of Trek's "Price I've Paid" LP. He put a brand new spin on the album, look out for it in stores soon.
